We all watched the local news both yesterday night and today. I cannot hide my joy, when I saw our local area Member Of Parliament being tormented by other people in the community about land issues and fund irregularities. Our good friend Waititu (area MP) was being grilled by the community of how he uses the Community Development Funds (CDF), which is allocated to all constituencies by the government to help in improving the community's status in terms of school, hospital, or community developing projects. Cases have been pending in courts concerning Waititu on embezzlement of funds belonging to our constituency and using gangs to chase away land owners. Last year the area MP helped incite the area residents around Made in the Streets to gang up and take our property by force claiming that it was the community's land, yet we had full certified documents from the government giving us the land. Not sure what the feeling I should have towards this man, but...God does work in mysterious ways, and He uncovers all the wrong doers in His own timing.
Today, Irene Mbithe shared with us her daughters' birthday. Amaria, who is now one year old had the honors of cutting a cake and blowing a candle. She shared the cake with the rest of MITS family...as Eunice led chapel, she challenged us all to have a quiet moment of prayer, I really think that all our souls needed it, getting closer to God despite all our busy schedules in classes and teaching.
