All the 18yr old students have moved out.
Mary Waithera got a job at a prestigious shopping complex in far eastern part town called the Village Market, she has gotten her national identity card and works mostly on weekdays and weekends, her day off is Monday.
Jane Njeri, though still 17yrs, has gotten a place where she can practice her skills that she learnt in college and here at MITS. She will still be staying with us until 18yrs, necesary arrange wil be made once she attains the age of 18yrs. her supervisor at her place of work, has promised a full time employment once she turns 18yrs.
Mary Wangui and Mwanahawa have both gotten places of attachment. Mary, a hair dresser, is showing commitment and her instructor says she has the potential of getting employment, Mwanahawa, is learning new tactics and skills of making different kinds of clothing.
Jackline Njoki is also showing progress in her area of dressmaking. she is learning how to make baby clothes.
Abdi Isaac is still going on with schooling and loves it. Initially he had expressed the desire to change his course, but now he is getting challenges and making him ever so busy. His classes had started out slow. We have provided him with tools that will help in his trade once he completes his course.
Dennis Kamau is on attachment at a production studio called Good News Production Intl. This is a studio that shoots and makes Christian music and videos. It is this studio that has produced most of our music done my our students and former kids like the RTGz, and Christ Warriors.
Fredrick Otieno got a job at a garage not far form MITS farm, he is still learning the trick to his trade and getting good exposure to other challenges that auto-repair comes with.
Margaret Njeri is on attachment at our Tea House, she cooks and does all chores under supervision.
Zainabu Dotrine has completed her course in beauty school and has found a place to work in a salon in town.
One of our new students names Beatrice Muthoni lost her mother and younger brother. We attended the burial and ask for prayers for Beatrice as she goes through this trying time.
The rest are still looking for documentations like national Identity Cards, and Birth certificates. All this takes time and patients is required, so please be in prayer for all our kids as they make trips to these Govt, offices to do follow-ups and inquiries.
