It was all joy for Made in the Streets family when some of us attended Susan Wambui's graduation at Lo-real college. We had told her that non of us would be able to attend, only to surprise her later at the graduation. She was receiving her diploma in beauty and Hairdressing course, which she completed in November.
"I never thought I will one day receive a diploma in my entire life and its a great feeling to finally get one", says Susan. She is very grateful that Made in the Streets has given her this opportunity to learn something that she has always wanted.
We also attended Millicent Adhiambo's graduation which was equaling joyous and exciting. A group of older people, but living on the streets who attend the same college, sponsored by Made in the Streets also graduated in different courses. When the students start on this journey it always seem like they will never finish, but with lots of encouragement from the other students and their teachers, they come out victorious. God has been good to open up such opportunities.
