New Bases

The team both in Kamulu and Eastleigh, got to a new project of finding new bases (these are homes/distinct spots where the streets guys call home). Got divided into two groups to widen our scope. Our greatest challenge was walking towards the city center. Since its known that bases that are located near the city center are prone with Mungiki Sect followers hence, we were so weary and vigilant. (Mungiki sect is an outlawed group, they are known to be violent and dangerous. They carry around matchets as their primary weapons). It is so definite this groups does not want to hear the Gospel, one can merely be slaughtered just by mentioning FAITH of Jesus Christ.
The groups that went towards the eastern part of the city center was met with a group of older boys who welcomed them to their base known as Mamba Base, swahili for Crocodile. Ironically it was near a gas station known to the same name. There were older boys at this base. The other group that ventured into the western part of the city, came across Baghdad base. Am sure it has no reason to do with Baghdad and terror, but the name might have just come about by... maybe a nearby building or simply the influence of a movie scenario or character.
