News Update!

More building project are on the way...currently a new nursery school is coming and and a clinic/dispensary in one of our property next to the boys complex. This project really comes at a convenient time, because we are are expecting babies soon, Irene Mbithe has already had her baby Amaria, who is one month old today. Millie and Jackton are expecting their baby at around 15th December and so are Maureen and Francis on the 2nd of Dec which will be next week!

Next week on the 2nd of December will be a great date in MITS' calendar, its this same date that we have the court case hearing and Francis will be attending to that matter, lets keep in prayer about this...the same date we open our doors to the community to come and purchase school uniforms from our new shop. Jackton has really been working hard to get this ready. He has made uniforms for sale. The team plans to go out again on one of the coming Sundays to the community again to help market the factory and the shop. The same will be done to invite more people from the community to attend our church.

We have had more kids getting baptized in the last couple of Sundays, Susan Wambui, Willis Odhiambo, Catherine Ndunge (she is one of the young mothers we have at Eastleigh).

Friday in Easteigh!

The team went out to the streets, to try and find young mothers, and more girls for our program. The team divided into three groups to go to different areas of town. Not much success was accomplished but we managed to get an area where we could fish out girls who are teenagers and are living on the streets. As for getting young mothers, it is quite challenging because you never know which of them is telling the truth, either about being married, their ages and about having kids.
In the afternoon, we went out to spread the news concerning National Identities to the older guys in the bases. We came back from various bases/areas, when we got to the center, guys from one of the bases pulled in an older guy with a wheelbarrow, he was obviously ill and suffering from something, and Anthony could not figure out what was wrong. So a decision was reached to rush the guy to the nearest clinic and while pulling and pushing the wheelbarrow en route the guy died. On reaching the clinic the doctor said he died of dehydration. Lets keep Anthony in our prayers, for him to continue his good work within the streets and this trauma that he experienced first hand come to pass.

Malindi Camp

Words can't just express what we have been throught the past week. The great invention of the camera and still images help us express ourselves in more words and feelings.
Though we had a 3 flat tyre, on our way to Malindi. And by the way, while driving back from the coast, I was sitted next to Francis, we almost ran out of fuel in the smaller bus, nobody knew. We kept on postponing filling the tanks to the next town, realizng the next town was so far we were wise enough to fill the tank in a small town.
While stopping for a minute to rest Jackton got stuck on the side road mud, and we had to pull him with a truck that was passing by.

Enjoy the slide show also!

exams are here!

the time that the fast track have been waiting is finally here. their government exams started this week on monday and right now i do not envy them. all the tension, sleepless nights, the worries if they have read enough must be catching up on them.
as they head off for the last day tomorrow, i'm glad that this journey has ended well with not so much complaints. with so much that has been happening this past year, i'm glad that they are focused on this and i'm glad God has been with us all through. i thank all who have been involved in preparing them directly or indirectly, those who spent their time teaching them and mostly for those who believed in them that it was something that they could accomplish.
i pray that we will cheer them on and also pray for their success.
phillipo.

More souls to GOD!

Malindi was really a more of revival time, Joseph Kamau, found his path leading in God's direction, a couple of 12 more students also decided to give their lives to Christ. (So exciting to get your sins washed in an ocean)This Sunday also we will be having two more baptisms. Darlene is having classes with the students in her bible class about baptism. The whole student body is really excited about the class, and these are results of their major decisions. The team too, showing support, have written letter to the baptized students, encouraging them to fight the good fight and be worriors, find beauty within themselves to make changes in lives as Charles and Darlene were teaching us while in Malindi.

20 acres update!

Francis went to the courts yesterday the 10th, to plead for our case again with our attorney to get an injuction. The lawyer for the other side still requested more time to build his case concerning the land issue. they are still insisitng that the land is grabbed and we have attained it not the legal way. Yet we have all documents allowing us to used the land to our pleasure. I think they are trying to buy time so they complete their project, but we as MITS are looking at all this in a really positive way. The judges' ruling might be in our favor or not, but all in all, we know the land belong to God and for his purpose only. Look at it this way, we might not need funds to build at that site becuase they would already have built it for us....ha!
The court was adjourned till December 2nd. Lets still be in prayers about this.
