Priscah Kerubo

We have a new girl student who joined us on Saturday. Priscah has both parents; the dad works as a night guard at a local company on the western part of Nairobi, her mom work as a casual worker and does odd jobs at a place called Kangemi. She has an older brother who is in high school, a brother who is grade 3 and a younger sibling who is a nursery school.
She is 14yrs old though a bit shy, she has soul winning smile that brings her innocence out. She is a special child in that she has a case of being defiled twice in her teen life. She has been on the streets and lived on Liliput Base for a while, then after sometime ran away to Mlango Kubwa base. Later on she got out of the base life and went home to Kangemi where her parents are residing; then eventually came back to Mlango Kubwa base. We are so happy to have her here with us, we highly hope that MITS will be a haven for her to find hope, trust and gain more confidence to face the tomorrow despite what has happened in her past life.
Priscah loves watching action pack movies, and she says she has always had passion to be a hairdresser, with Gods' help this will come true as she has joined a family that has abundant love and is always preparing its children for life's struggles by instilling a life skill.
As she came in the girls welcomed her, and everyone wanted to tell her all stories of MITS all at once, the fun trips like shopping or educational trips, classes, teachers, work at the farm, food, birthday parties. I overheard Florence Aoko, tell Prisca of a shosho (Darlene) who loves reading stories to them especially The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe tales, and Peter Pan.
We welcome her to our big family and look forward to her growth in knowing Christ.
